Help shape the future of health media. As Executive Sales Director, Pharma, you'll play a pivotal role in growing ad revenue from top pharmaceutical brands across Hearst Magazines' iconic portfolio. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic thinking, strong client relationships, and multi-platform media expertise.
Hearst Magazines' portfolio of more than 30 iconic brands in the U.S.including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper's BAZAAR, and Popular Mechanicsinspires, entertains, and builds new and bold experiences for an engaged and growing audience across digital, video, social, and print, reaching nearly 130 million readers and site visitors each month. Represent a defined list of pharmaceutical accounts across the full Hearst Magazines portfolio, driving revenue across print, digital, and social platforms
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and custom marketing strategies that meet client objectives
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal marketing, research, content, and talent teams to respond to RFPs and proactively create client-centric proposals
Clearly communicate client KPIs and expectations to ensure impactful, measurable campaigns
Manage your sales pipeline through Salesforce, tracking activity and forecasting monthly revenue across print and digital
Provide strategic insights and category-specific feedback to improve sales and marketing efforts company-wide
Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales quotas and performance goals
Minimum 8 years of media experience, with at least 2 years in digital sales and direct experience working with pharmaceutical clients
Established network of client and agency partners within the pharmaceutical category
Strategic, self-starter mindset with strong presentation and negotiation skills
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and timely follow-through
Collaborative, team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic and evolving media environment
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms; Salesforce experience is a plus
Hybrid role based in NYC; required in-office 4 days per week

The base salary for this role is between $168,000 - $171,000. This position is also bonus eligible. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
